What is Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning?
Equine Assisted Therapy is therapy with the the aid of a horse that may be used to address a wide range of psychological and mental health struggles. Equine Assisted Learning is used to teach social and other skills to individuals and groups with the aid of a horse.
I don't have any experience with horses. Does that matter?
No. We carefully select horses for their temperament and suitability to do this work. You don't need any prior experience to undertake this form of therapy or learning.
Will I get to ride the horse?
No. Neither Equine Assisted Therapy nor Equine Assisted Learning include horse riding.
Are you a therapist or just a horse enthusiast offering therapy?
Viviane is first and foremost a counsellor and therapist and has over twenty years of experience in Australia and internationally working in the field. She now also works with Monte, a beautiful and understanding therapy horse, to deliver Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning.
